Minute Bundles for the USA, Canada and Australia That Never Expire
Prepaid minutes for the USA, Canada and Australia, cheaper per minute than pay-as-you-go. No subscription, no expiry, and calls on your own number count.
Short version: you can now buy a block of minutes for one country, the USA, Canada or Australia, at a lower per-minute price than pay-as-you-go. A US bundle goes as low as the current bundle rate/min. The minutes never expire. They are used before your balance, and they also cover calls on your ZephyPhone number in that country.
What is a Minute Bundle?
A Minute Bundle is a prepaid block of minutes for a single country. You pay once and the minutes stay on your account until you use them. There is no subscription, no renewal date and no "use it or lose it" at the end of the month.
A bundle covers two kinds of calls:
- Calls you make to that country, to mobiles and landlines alike.
- Calls on your number in that country. If you have a US, Canadian or Australian ZephyPhone number, time on that line comes out of the bundle too.
We started with the three countries our users call most. If you call family in Toronto every Sunday, a client in New York every morning or a friend in Sydney once a week, a bundle costs you less than pay-as-you-go.
Minute Bundle prices
These are the prices on sale right now, read live from the catalogue, in US dollars, with nothing added at checkout. Each country has its own guide with dialing tips, time zones and a price comparison: USA, Canada and Australia.

The pay-as-you-go rates above are our rates to mobile numbers. Pay-as-you-go stays exactly as it was, so you can ignore bundles and keep calling at the normal rate.
How the prices compare
We checked the public price pages of other calling apps on September 25, 2026. Prices change, and some apps charge differently depending on where you call from, so treat this as a snapshot.
Against other pay-per-minute apps, bundles are cheaper. Prices below are per minute to mobile numbers:
| Calling | ZephyPhone bundle | Yadaphone | Talk360 |
|---|---|---|---|
| USA | the current bundle rate – the current bundle rate | $0.02 | $0.05 |
| Canada | the current bundle rate – the current bundle rate | $0.02 | $0.06 |
| Australia (mobile) | the current bundle rate – the current bundle rate | $0.16 | $0.14 |
Yadaphone gives up to 20% extra credit on a $100 top-up. That brings its US price to about $0.0167/min, around our smallest US bundle and above every larger one.
What about "unlimited" monthly plans?
Rebtel, Viber Out, BOSS Revolution and KeepCalling sell monthly plans to these countries for roughly $2 to $6 a month. If you call the same country for hours every single month, one of those plans can cost less than a bundle, and we would rather tell you that than pretend otherwise.
The catch is in how they work:
- They are subscriptions. They renew every 30 days until you cancel, whether you called that month or not.
- Unused time does not carry over. A quiet month is money gone.
- "Unlimited" has limits. These plans come with fair-use rules for personal use, usually with no published number.
- Leftover credit can lapse. Several apps freeze or expire pay-as-you-go credit after 6 to 12 months without use.
A Minute Bundle is the opposite trade. You pay once, nothing renews, and minutes you do not use this month are still there next month, or next year. It suits people whose calling comes in bursts: a busy month of calls home, then a quiet one. It also suits anyone who does not want another subscription to remember to cancel.
How Minute Bundles work
- Used before your balance. When you call a country you hold a bundle for, the call comes out of the bundle first. Your balance is only charged if the bundle runs out part-way through.
- One minute at a time. Minutes are counted whole, like on a phone plan. A bundle with less than a minute left is closed and the next one takes over.
- Oldest bundle first. If you hold more than one bundle for the same country, the oldest is used first. One call can run across two bundles without a break.
- Only for its own country. A US bundle is never spent on a call to Canada. Calls to every other country are paid from your balance at the normal rate.
- They never expire. A 3,500-minute bundle bought today still works next year.
- You can always see what is left. The Minute Bundles page shows every bundle and its remaining minutes, and the dialer shows the minutes left for the country you are calling.
Should you buy a bundle or stay on pay-as-you-go?
A bundle is the better deal once you know you will use the minutes. Because they never expire, "using them" can mean over six months rather than one. Some examples:
- A 20-minute call home to Canada three times a week is about 260 minutes a month. The 1,300-minute bundle ($19.99) lasts about five months and saves roughly a fifth on every call.
- A remote worker calling US clients for an hour each weekday uses about 1,300 minutes a month. The 3,500-minute bundle ($49.99) covers most of a quarter at $0.0143/min.
- A small business with a US number taking customer calls can put incoming and outgoing US minutes on one bundle. The 14,500-minute bundle brings it down to $0.0138/min.
- A weekly one-hour call to family in Australia is about 260 minutes a month. The 500-minute bundle ($50.99) lasts about two months at $0.102/min instead of $0.145.
If you only call a country now and then, pay-as-you-go is still the simplest option: no commitment, and your balance never expires either.

Frequently asked questions
Do Minute Bundles expire?
No. Bundle minutes stay on your account until you use them. There is no monthly reset and no renewal.
Is a Minute Bundle a subscription?
No. You pay once. Nothing renews and nothing is charged again unless you buy another bundle yourself.
Does a bundle cover calls to mobiles and landlines?
Yes. A bundle covers calls to any number in its country, mobile or landline, at the same bundle rate.
Can I use a US bundle to call Canada?
No. Each bundle belongs to one country. Canada has its own bundles at the same prices as the US ones.
Does a bundle cover incoming calls?
It covers calls on your ZephyPhone number in the same country. A US bundle covers time on your US number, and an Australian bundle covers time on your AU number.
What happens when my bundle runs out?
The rest of the call is paid from your balance at the normal pay-as-you-go rate, so keep a little credit on your account as a buffer.
