Call Canada for Less: Prepaid Canada Minute Bundles That Never Expire
Prepaid minutes to any Canadian mobile or landline, cheaper per minute than pay-as-you-go. No subscription, no expiry, and calls on your Canadian number count.
Calling Canada with ZephyPhone costs the current pay-as-you-go rate per minute on pay-as-you-go, or as little as the current bundle rate per minute with a Canada Minute Bundle. A bundle is a one-time purchase of the smallest to the largest minutes for calls to Canada. It has no subscription and the minutes never expire. It works from any country, in the browser or the ZephyPhone app.

How much does a Canada Minute Bundle cost?
Prices are in US dollars, with nothing added at checkout. The bigger the bundle, the lower the price per minute: the largest saves a large share against pay-as-you-go.
Who is a Canada bundle for?
- Newcomers and students. Canada has one of the largest immigrant and international-student populations in the world. If your family is in Toronto, Vancouver or Montreal while you are elsewhere, or the other way round, a bundle covers months of calls.
- People who moved away from Canada. Calls to parents, a bank, Service Canada or the CRA are simpler from a Canadian-rate bundle than from a roaming SIM. Automated menus work too, with the in-call keypad.
- Businesses with Canadian customers. A Canadian ZephyPhone number and a bundle give you local presence. Incoming calls on that number come out of the same minutes.
How do you dial a Canadian number from abroad?
Canada is part of the North American Numbering Plan, so its numbers look exactly like US ones: a three-digit area code and a seven-digit local number, after the country code +1.
+1 (area code) XXX-XXXX · for example +1 416 555 0123
Common area codes include 416 and 647 (Toronto), 604 and 778 (Vancouver), 514 and 438 (Montreal), 403 and 587 (Calgary), and 613 (Ottawa). In ZephyPhone, choose Canada from the country list or type the full number with +1. ZephyPhone knows from the area code whether a +1 number is Canadian or American, so the right bundle is used.
When is the best time to call Canada?
Canada spans six time zones:
| Time zone | Major cities | UTC offset (standard / daylight) |
|---|---|---|
| Newfoundland | St. John's | UTC−3:30 / UTC−2:30 |
| Atlantic | Halifax | UTC−4 / UTC−3 |
| Eastern | Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal | UTC−5 / UTC−4 |
| Central | Winnipeg | UTC−6 / UTC−5 |
| Mountain | Calgary, Edmonton | UTC−7 / UTC−6 |
| Pacific | Vancouver, Victoria | UTC−8 / UTC−7 |
Most of Saskatchewan stays on UTC−6 all year. Canadian clocks change on the same dates as in the US, and in 2026 daylight saving time ends on Sunday, November 1.
Toronto is 5 hours behind London and 9½ to 10½ hours behind India. An evening call from Europe or South Asia usually lands in the Canadian morning or early afternoon.
How do Canada bundles compare with other calling apps?
Our prices below are live. The other providers' prices are per minute to Canadian mobiles, taken from each provider's public rates page on September 25, 2026. Some apps charge differently depending on where you call from.
| Service | Price per minute to Canada | Expires? |
|---|---|---|
| ZephyPhone Canada bundle | the current bundle rate – the current bundle rate | Never |
| ZephyPhone pay-as-you-go | the current pay-as-you-go rate | Never |
| Yadaphone | $0.02 | Not stated |
| Talk360 | $0.06 | Credit valid 12+ months |
Some services charge less. Viber Out and KeepCalling list Canada pay-as-you-go rates under 1¢ a minute, and Rebtel, Viber and BOSS Revolution sell monthly Canada plans for about $2 to $3 (as of September 25, 2026). If you call Canada heavily every month and don't mind a subscription, those are worth a look.
What a Canada Minute Bundle gives you instead is no commitment. You pay once, nothing renews, a quiet month costs nothing, and the minutes are still there when the next busy month comes. There are no fair-use rules to read, either.
How many minutes do you need?
An hour-long call once a week is about 260 minutes a month. At that pace the smallest bundle, the smallest minutes, lasts about a couple of months, and the largest, the largest minutes, about many months at the lowest per-minute price. Because minutes never expire, you can size up without worrying about losing them.

Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to call Canada with ZephyPhone?
Pay-as-you-go calls to Canadian mobiles are charged per minute at the rate on our rates page. A Canada Minute Bundle brings the per-minute price down, and the bigger the bundle the lower it goes. Today's bundle prices are on the Minute Bundles page.
Do Canada Minute Bundles expire?
No. The minutes stay on your account until you use them. There is no monthly reset and nothing renews.
Does a Canada bundle cover both mobile and landline numbers?
Yes. A Canada bundle covers calls to Canadian mobile and landline numbers at the same bundle rate.
Does a Canada bundle cover incoming calls?
It covers calls on your ZephyPhone Canadian number, so incoming and outgoing Canadian minutes can share one bundle.
Do I need a Canadian phone number to buy a Canada bundle?
No. Anyone with a ZephyPhone account can buy one and call Canadian numbers from anywhere. A Canadian number is only needed if you want people to call you.
What happens when my Canada bundle runs out mid-call?
The call continues and the rest is paid from your balance at the normal pay-as-you-go rate.
Is calling Canada the same as calling the USA?
You dial it the same way, because both use +1. The price and the bundles are separate, though. A US bundle does not cover Canadian numbers, and a Canada bundle does not cover US numbers.
